This week’s photo challenge theme at The Daily Post is “CHANGE.”

My two photographs may look like me doing the same thing on different spots in the house. But the two photographs were actually taken at two different houses. The first one was taken in our previous home. The second picture was taken in our recent home.

The move took place last year, and that meant a lot of things for our family. In our previous residence, we were sharing the house with another family. This time, we own the whole apartment. This meant more independence, more privacy, and more space. This meant progress, improvement, betterment. It’s a milestone for our family.

My New Room

As I mentioned yesterday, my family and I moved in to another house. And that meant that I also got a new room!

During the last days, my parents got busy sorting out our stuff. They complained that almost half of our belongings are MY TOYS.  So when we got into the new house, they started emptying lots of boxes in my room. They arranged my toys in shelves, and separated my books in another shelf.

This is the same bed that I had from our previous home, we just moved it here. The superman poster was from my Dad’s room before. The Lightning McQueen poster was bought several months ago, but it was only now that I got it posted on the wall.

Buzz Lightyear and Barney sleep with me.

My toy shelves! These toy cars are not even a fourth of all my toy cars, would you believe that? So most of them had to stay in big boxes until we get new shelves for them. The stuff toys were gifts when I was younger. I don’t play with them that much now.

The animal characters on the top were peeled off from my previous room, and was transferred here.

Here is where I keep my books, kiddie magazines, puzzles, electronic stuff and other educational toys. My bags and other school stuff are here as well.

I requested my parents to set up this mini-basketball frame for me. This was under my bed for a couple of years because it wouldn’t fit in my room. But now that I have a bigger room, I can play with this now 🙂

Mom arranged my cothes in my dresser.

Check out these pockets for my shoes. They’re behind the door. This was mom’s idea. Cool!

I love my new room!

I’M BACK!

Hi guys! First of all allow me to apologize for disappearing for a couple of weeks.  My parents and I moved to another house, and we got busy sorting out our stuff. We also had to apply for an internet connection in the new house and that took a while too.

This is my new room. In the next posts, I’ll be featuring my new room, as decorated by my parents. (I helped too!). I love my new room because there’s so much space to play on.

Allow me to thank everyone who continuously dropped by, to check  for latest posts. Based on the stats, I still had some visitors, so… thank you!

11 Dec 09 Bayanihan

Today I learned about a Filipino trait called “bayanihan”. My parents’ friends came over to help us transfer our stuff to the new house! Wow, I am so proud to be a pinoy. People help each other in times of need. They knew that my parents would find it difficult to move out especially since we have a lot of things – including my boxes of toys!

My family truly appreciates their help and I am sure that God will repay their kindness.

The “Lipat-Bahay” gang as we prepare for lunch!

Mom and Dad busy sorting things out.

Eating time!

Rest time! Milk time for me!
